Method
- Measure out and mix all the spices together, including the BBQ sauce, in one bowel. It should create a thick, viscus mixture. Set aside.
- Use a food processor to finely mince the onion, red bell pepper, and olives. The pieces should be very small, as this will help the raw meat mixture stay together. If you don't have a food processor, just use a knife and cutting board to put your kitchen skills to the test.
- In a separate bowl, mix the minced meat and finely minced vegetables together until everything is well incorporated.
- Add the mixture to the meat and massage the spices into the meat until well mixed.
- Portion out into paddies; it should make 6 to 7 average size burgers.
- Refrigerate for 6 hours. This will let the paddies set and become more solid.
- Grill and add fixings.
Notes
*If you use pork, don't serve the burgers rare. Pork needs to be cook thoroughly to kill harmful bacteria.
