Chocolate-Caramel Rum Café

An original coffee cocktail that is on the sweet side,with heavy notes of chocolate and caramel, obviously. With two ounces of rum, this packs quite a punch so be careful. It’s a winter cocktail that will keep you warm throughout the long, cold nights.
Prep Time 15 minutes

Equipment

  • Tempered Glass or Coffee Mug
  • Drip Coffee Machine or Moka Pot
  • Measuring Equipment (jigger)
  • Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Chocolate Rum (60ml)
  • oz Caramel Liqueur (45ml)
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup (30ml)
  • 4 oz Fresh-Brewed Coffee (120ml)
  • Whipped Cream (for garnish)
  • 1 Dusting Cinnamon Powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Before beginning this recipe, make the Whipped Cream and Simple Syrup.
    *Both recipes are in the notes section.
  • Brew some coffee and keep it hot.
  • In an Irish coffee glass, heat tempered glass, or mug; combine the chocolate rum, caramel liqueur, and simple syrup.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Add the coffee.
  • Stir again to incorporate the coffee.
  • Top with 2.5 cm (1 inch) of whipped cream on top of the coffee mixture.
  • Dust with some cinnamon powder and server.
