Substitutions For The Tropical Kiss

Two Tropical Kisses (G. McGregor/ https://pawprintphoto.net)

Making a Tropical Kiss is pretty easy, but maybe you don’t have some of the ingredients. No problem, it’s easy to swap out a few things.

Don’t have vanilla vodka? No problem!

You can use regular vodka in it’s place.

Don’t have vanilla ice cream? No problem!

You use a Partially Whipped Cream instead.

Too much work? You can top off the drink with a heavy whipping cream.

*Don’t use milk. It’s too thin and it will end up mixing right into the drink. It also lacks the deep, fatty taste of heavy creams.

Don’t have any passion fruit? No problem!

This is mostly a garnish, and it can be omitted. The passion fruit does add a little tartness on the tongue, but the drink still tastes amazing without it.

Kissing is Good, Anytime!

A Glass of Fresh Mango Juice with Sliced & Whole Fruits (envato.com)

While this is our cocktail creation, it is heavily based on the classic cocktail the screwdriver; same premise, almost identical base liquor, juice, and minimal effort. The big difference is the addition of some cream and the fact that this is a far superior drink.

So when’s a good time for indulging in a Tropical Kiss?

It’s a fanatic drink after dinner, it works as a nightcap, and it also pairs extremely well with breakfasts (if that’s your thing). Make these along side these most excellent yogurt pancakes and it’s a guarantee that you’ll be setting yourself up for a fantastic day.

So there’s never really a wrong time for this drink.

Ok, watermelon, coconut and banana too, but me really love the mango!
