Welcome to What’s Cookin’ Good Lookin’
Hello everyone and welcome to our cooking dojo.
It’s no secret that we love whipping up delicious treats in our kitchen. It has also been our dream to help regular, everyday people become better cooks. To that regard, we tried our best to keep every recipe on this website as easy and concise as possible.
We have a lot of passion and love for the food we make. Now everyone can enjoy and share in that. This is why we’ve decided to create this page.
There is another reason why we decided to start this website. We didn’t like how other websites operate. This is why we are pledging to you that we will do better.
No buried treasure!
No digging around to find what you want. By that we mean we won’t be hiding recipes below pages of text and commentary. Our recipes will ALWAYS right at the top of a post for easy access. Any stories and/or colorful anecdotes will be places after all the important stuff.
We hope that by placing our recipes right at the top, you will come back again and again.
Key features
In order to make your user experience better, we wanted to explain the layout a little more.
We’ve designed our site to make it easy for you to search for specific recipes. You can use all the search boxes, of course, or use the helpful category topics we’ve built into the site. For example, if you want to find dessert recipes you just need to select that from the drop down menu on top or from the categories section in the footer. If you really like a recipe and want to share, feel free to share it on social media. We’ve added social media share buttons to our recipes and posts to make them easier to share.
Perfection Unobtainable
Cooking isn’t an exact science. Ovens have different profiles. Pots are made of different materials. Using a flame Vs electric can really change how something cooks on a stovetop. Room temperature… humidity… all these things, and more, will affect your cooking. Because of this, tweaking recipes is super important.
Be flexible!
Nothing will be perfect the first time trying to cook it. Keep good notes and make any changes that fit your kitchen.
Adding or subtracting spices can also alter how something cooks. Please keep that in mind as you alter any recipe to suit your taste.
Remember, most chefs need to cook something a few times before they start getting good at it.
Practice makes perfect.
Stay up to date
Join our mailing list so you will never miss new a recipe. We frequently upload new recipes and sometimes we even have a new video.
You can also find us on social media.
